Victims of Communism Museum

900 15th St. N.W.

Washington, D.C. 20005

The event was rescheduled from November, 2022.

As the specter of communism spread across the globe in the 20th century, heroes rose up and stood resolute against the most destructive ideology in human history.

The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation convened our annual Polish Studies Conference to explore the enduring legacy of three of these Knights of Liberty: Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, Pope John Paul II, and President Ronald Reagan.

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, political, intellectual, and religious leaders gathered at the Victims of Communism Museum to remember these heroes and discuss the ongoing fight for liberty, human dignity, and religious freedom.

Are the legacies of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, Pope John Paul II, and President Ronald Reagan still relevant today?

What lessons can be learned from their fight for freedom?

And how does liberty—with its spiritual and political truth—triumph over tyranny?
